Meat in question on the top left corner. The other two pieces were from my usual shop. Butcher told my spouse that's a beef cheek but charged double the $/100g I paid for beef cheek normally. Can I slow cook this in my Staub in the oven like I would for beef cheek stew?

Cut the odd one open like the other two and show us a picture.

Best guess from me is the rump/untrimmed picanha

You can slow cook anything. So, yeah, send it.

I thought at a glance brisket, figured maybe it was cheek untrimmed or even like a chuck roll but whatever it is, if you’re searing then going wet and slow it will turn out nicely. I wouldn’t go to that place for anything fancy, though…

Wow that must have been a very large cow.

It looks a lot like Tri Tip IMHO. If you’ve never had it, it’s delicious and affordable compared to popular cuts. It will not benefit from slow cooking.

You got a couple of beef cheeks and a tri tip. Grill, smoke or roast that tri tip.
