Hey everyone! I recently visited Orlando and tried a spot called The Dough Show. They serve fresh Middle Eastern/Levant-style baked goods — manakish, cheese pies, meat pies, and especially feteer (an Egyptian layered pastry). Everything comes out hot and freshly made.
If you don’t know what feteer is… you probably haven’t tasted heaven yet. 😄
Does Austin have anything similar? A bakery or café that makes manakish or authentic feteer fresh to order?

There is nothing exactly like that here. You can find some places with mana’eesh and fatayer, like Baklawa House, Peace Bakery, and Al Marah. However, if you ever go to Houston or the Dallas area, you have to check out We’re Dough. It is the type of establishment you have in mind, and the breads and the rest of the menu are out of this world.
