Seen this fried tortilla trick in some videos. Tasted like salsa.
Added a fried tortilla to my salsa. Have to say it was tasty.
3 tomatillos 2 roma tomatoes 2 anchos 1 serrano 3 chile de arbol 3 casabels Garlic (uncooked) 2 guajillos

Is the purpose to thicken it?

I’ve seen this and heard people swear by it. Haven’t tried it myself. How did it come out?

Nice. I have yet to try it because I usually bottle my salsa, I feel like this is better for day-of salsa. It sounds really good though

I made authentic chicken mole one time and it asked for all sorts of weird ingredients like peanuts almonds and a couple cut up fried tortillas. Looking back at it it’s ingredients for peanut butter and the tortillas were to probably help starch it up and thicken it i guess. Doesn’t seem that weird tbh. All goes down the same hatch 🤷🏻♂️

So why add it? If you want it thicker, add another raw tomatillo
