Baked potatoes are so good and inexpensive. I plan this as a meal (usually topped with homemade chili) weekly.

Maybe stop buying cigs? Your telling me you have nothing else? No cheese, meat, stock, freezer things? I have more camping. Lots of churches have for banks.

  3. i’ve never seen potatoes like that (at least not in a while) i’m jealous

I’m not even joking when I say this is the exact dinner I had last night. I fancied them up with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chives, and a handful of shredded Parmesan and Romano cheese. Better believe I extended my pinkie when drinking my ice water with that meal.

All kidding aside, this is a rough time of year for a lot of people. All I have to give is my ear to listen but it’s yours if you need it.

U should save ur money for food rather than cigarettes. Ur wallet (and health!) will thank u for it

In French, it’s pomme de terre. Apple of the earth 🙂

Tonight I made shredded bbq chicken, baked potato and jalapeño corn (sauté red onion and jalapeño in butter and add frozen corn) and my husband just piles it all together and eats it that way. Easy and filling

You could make potato curry if you already have spices.

Long live the mighty potatoe. My #1 pick for super food status.

Cigarettes are expensive. Maybe some of that cigarettes money could have gone to a can of chili or beans to go with the baked potatoes.

Dried beans, lentils, or other legumes provide pretty good value for cost, give lots of options for different flavour profiles, and are stupid easy to make (crock pot for the win)… and they are surprisingly good on potatoes. The Brits practically put everything on jacket potatoes, but they’re honestly onto something… fairly balanced nutrition, tasty, inexpensive, and easy.
