GS Shop announced on the 8th that it will introduce an encore broadcast of “Freeorday Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil” from 10 a.m. on the 14th.
Freeorday is a premium olive oil brand of the Siuranetta family that has operated olive farms for 10 generations for about 500 years in Catalonia, Spain.
GS Shop explained that it was a product that was carefully introduced, noting that the trend of “Ole Shot” in which lemon juice and olive oil are consumed together is spreading and the demand for premium oil that is directly consumed beyond cooking is increasing.
The customer response was enthusiastic. Although the first broadcast in early November was scheduled in the early morning, 1,500 sets of preparations were all sold out 10 minutes before the end of the broadcast.
At that time, the broadcast ranked first in ratings (UV) among home shopping broadcasts at the same time, and orders reached about 430 million won. During the broadcast, customers sent real-time messages such as “I set an alarm and waited to buy it,” and “Please do such broadcasts often.”
After the first broadcast, GS Shop prepared an encore broadcast after Son Mi-na received a flood of inquiries about the schedule of the follow-up broadcast through her social network service (SNS). In particular, the broadcast time has been adjusted from the existing early morning time zone to 10 a.m. on Sunday “golden time zone” so that more customers can watch comfortably.
Son Mi-na also shared the broadcast results with the local farm owner and asked for cooperation in the quantity, and visited the local area again to finally check the harvest and milking situation. This encore broadcast volume was also brought in by air direct delivery to maintain quality.
On the 14th, the encore broadcast will feature a “Christmas Gift Edition” suitable for year-end gifts, in addition to the basic composition of giving an additional bottle during the broadcast for three 500ml bottles.
It is composed of two 500ml bottles of Priorday oil and “Gwangjuyo Sorisang” selected by artist Son Mi-na, reflecting the consumer’s need to enjoy the ole shot in an atmosphere. The basic configuration is the same as the last launch broadcast, offering a 30,000 won discount when purchasing with an app during broadcasting.
