Yellow Bird has been a favorite of mine for many months now. I typically use the habanero. I enjoy the ghost pepper. However, I am impressed by the heat, versatility, and picante-umami nature of this particular sauce.
I see a lot of users saying things like "Yellow Bird just tastes like spicy carrots," or "too sweet for my ultra-manly palate." I feel that the garlic shitake breaks the shackles of the "standard" Yellow Bird.
My question: am I just biased, or is this quite an exquisite blend?

Love the picture but I’m curious what the hell those beautiful creatures are standing on lol
I’ll have to try that one, although I did read it as ‘garlic shit sauce’ at first.
This is just above the heat level I enjoy. Won’t throw it away, but not buying again. I’ll use it with tomato sauces.
This is the one yellowbird I do like – I was surprised by the kick too, being a habanero based sauce.
I need to try this one
Yellowbird habanero is my favorite hot sauce, and I use it on almost everything. I love the carrot flavor.
I just got a bottle of the shitake and it is definitely much hotter than the regular habanero, despite using almost the exact same ingredients, just with the habs being the largest amount. It’s amazing on pizza, especially if you like mushrooms.
I’m with you, Yellowbird is fantastic.
This one’s in my top 5 all sauces.
