VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (WBRC) – A taste of Italy in Liberty Park?
That is what you can expect when you visit Sam Dinka’s new concept restaurant, Caffe di Roma.
Dinka, who also owns Napoli Italian Restaurant & Pizza, says the reason he came to Liberty Park was due to popular demand.
“Everyone came to my other restaurant in Rocky Ridge and they all said, ‘You should come to Liberty Park,’” he said. “It’s been great with all of the support. The people are really great here.”
If you hear Dinka speak, you’d think he was from Italy. But he’s actually Albanian.
He and his family have been here for 20 years and he moved to Birmingham from Connecticut a few years ago.
Dinka says they have the best pizza in Birmingham. It’s New York Style, but they also have pastas, calzones and wraps. And what is an Italian restaurant if you don’t have gelato?
But what sets them apart is their breakfast pizzas and pastries.
