hellooo im very new to baking this n this was my first attempt & it did not turn out that bad (except my extra batch in the last pic) but its not perfect ☹️.
it sticks super strongly onto the parchment paper so the middle gets stuck onto the paper so my shell is left with a huge dent & also the colour looks quite dull
i would really appreciate tips on how to improve it and please also lmk how many tries it took for u to perfect it (with pictures if possible 🫶🏻) + i rlly wanna know what fillings yall recommend 😆

Mac’s are journey. Took me about 12 times to get them consistent and to something I’m happy with. If they’re sticking to the parchment, try letting them cook longer. When you touch them in the oven after their bake time they shouldn’t wiggle at all. If they, check every one minute.

  2. Looks to me like they either have too much liquid in them, or they’re over-macaronaged.

The lopsided-ness I’ve found can also be caused by uneven heat/drying like how the ones in the 9×13 are a lot more lopsided than the others.
Sometimes the sides of the pan block proper airflow when cooking/ drying out before going in the oven
The ones in the first picture honestly don’t look that bad for a first attempt I think my main recommendations would be flipping the pans over so you’re baking on the bottom and leaving the batter slightly thicker than you think you should. There’s a lot of mixing that still happens between baking and piping the batter and it gets really easy to over mix.

I’m really excited to see you keep trying though I really think this is a good start <3

Looks like a combination of issues. Sticking to paper is under baked. Super tall and hollow inside is usually too much air in the batter or too high oven temp (I would guess oven temp based on your feet). Lopsided is uneven oven heat. Did you use convection oven? Sometimes convection helps, sometimes it causes problems – depends on the oven. Spread feet is usually over macronaged. Lack of vibrant color is usually not enough color added or a brand that the color doesn’t perform well with heat. Just know the more color you add the batter will change how it performs and bakes. I would avoid color till you have the other issues fixed. But honestly for a first time they look really good. Nice top shell with no cracks and feet is a pretty solid attempt. Don’t be too overcritical on yourself – they are very hard to prefect.
