DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – The 2025 Miracle on Foster food drive has come and gone, and thanks to our viewers, we were able to guarantee several thousands of meals will be available to those in need this holiday season.
Totals from this year’s drive are in, and even on a cold and rainy Thursday, the Wiregrass showed up in a big way to give back.
Across our four locations at Walmart in Enterprise, Walmart in Dothan (southside), Hometown Foods in Headland, and right in front of the Charles Woods Building on Foster Street in downtown Dothan, we were able to collect 3,423 total pounds of food.
3,312 pounds of that came from canned and dry food donations, and another 111 pounds came from frozen turkeys donated at our Foster Street location.
Alongside the food donations, across all our locations we were able to collect around $11,795 in cash and checks, with another $1,340 donated through our online donation link, for a total of $13,135 in monetary donations.
Altogether, between the food and the money, your gift this holiday season generated around 116,690 meals for the Wiregrass Area Food Bank, which will go right back to those who will need it most during this part of the year.
On behalf of our partners at the Wiregrass Area Food Bank and The Cochran Firm in Dothan, the WTVY News4 team wants to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who took the time out of their day, even with the unfavorable elements, to participate and donate in this year’s food drive.
Every little bit counts to go towards making a difference in someone’s life.
