Making Gingerbread man macs, How do i get a better brown coloring? Any Tips please and thank you!!

What coloring are you using?

Powder food coloring. Highly pigmented along with a half tablespoon of cocoa. Cocoa and ginger bread go nicely together. I make gingerbread cut out… I add a half tablespoon to the dough, it’s my secret ingredient. You don’t taste chocolate at all. It seems to turn all the spices added into it’s own spice. It’s hard to explain

I’ll add a Tbs or two of cocoa powder to help before I start with food coloring but it does change the flavor slightly (I’ve come to prefer it because it’s less sweet) most fillings will cover it up easily though
