Fresh Bell Pepper Dolma | Easy, Flavorful & Homemade Recipe
Today I’m making a delicious and fresh Homemade Dolma (Stuffed Bell Peppers) using vibrant, fresh peppers! This recipe is full of flavor, packed with herbs, spices, and tender meat – a perfect healthy and comforting dish.
✨ Ingredients (for Dolma):
• 250 g ground beef
• 1 cup cooked rice
• 1 cup cooked split peas (lappeh)
• 1 cup fresh chopped herbs (parsley, cilantro, mint)
• A bit of dried mint
• Saffron
• Turmeric
• Cinnamon
• Salt, black pepper, paprika
• 2 onions
• Oil
• Tomato paste or fresh tomato purée (as needed)
• Fresh bell peppers
✨ How to Make Dolma:
1. Wash and dry the bell peppers. Cut the tops off and remove seeds.
2. For the filling: Heat oil, sauté the onions, add the ground beef, and fry slightly.
3. Add turmeric, saffron, paprika, black pepper, and any spices you like.
4. Add cooked rice, cooked split peas, and mix well.
5. Add fresh herbs and a bit of dried dill or dried mint. The filling is ready!
6. Once slightly cooled, fill the peppers and place them in a pot.
7. Make the sauce: melt butter, add tomato paste or tomato purée + your favorite spices.
8. Pour about 1/3 of the pot full of this sauce over the dolmas.
9. Cook on very low heat for 1 hour until everything is tender and flavorful.
