This was my first time dining at a three Michelin-starred restaurant. After graduating from college, I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner.
It was a blast! Everything was so refined yet really relaxed. Most of the dishes served had humble origins as traditional German dishes such as Matjes and Hackbraten, but Jan Hartwig had transformed them into sublime and meticulously perfected creations.
Apart from the normal menu, there was also an additional menu listing four dishes priced between €52 and €192. I was able to swap the mulard duck from the standard menu for the lièvre à la royale (for an additional charge of €58), which was definitely worth it as the lièvre was probably the best dish of the evening!
