We call this “isonka samanzi” in my language. It is usually cooked outside in an open fire- this is a traditional method since we are in the rural areas. The dough is placed in a covered cast iron pot. Typically enjoyed with butter and coffee also can be served with beef stew (my favourite!)

So traditional it’s done on sticks and plastic bags… not loving the bag but really cool to see.

However it’s literally a crime to not show the end result. I’m calling the bread police right now.

Is melting plastic into it also traditional?
