I LOVE this wine, I usually exclusively drink white wine because I find some reds to have that harsh tannin bite. This is so smooth and light to me, but I am not well educated in the red wine universe. I have had a few reds in the past that i’ve enjoyed such as a chianti, and a pino nior. I’m looking for something smooth and light bodied, such as I find this red to be. So i’m looking for something some advice for what to look for in reds going forward, tannins don’t necessarily bother me but I just don’t love it when thats all I can taste. I chill my reds sometimes, no matter how despicable that may be I just find it more refreshing.
Please be kind, I am learning. 🤷🏼♀️

Bright, light-bodied red with cherry and cranberry notes. Super smooth and high acid with very soft tannins. Drinks like a white wine to me, refreshing, not harsh at all. Slightly floral and very easy to sip, especially lightly chilled.
Looks fun, I love the label! Great light options include pinot noir, gamay, grenache, and cinsault. Obviously pinot noir will be the most common you come by, but if you can find bottles of or blends of the others, go for it. Lambrusco may be up your alley as well, doesn’t hurt to shop around. If you have a nice local wine shop, don’t be afraid to ask questions!
And no shame in chilling reds 😉
Perhaps give a try to a Barbera di Alba (Pio Cesare is one I like)-somewhat lighter, and definitely shows off a lovely acidity, framed by balanced tannins, IMO. Wonderful with almost any food, lol. Also, I’ve tried a few Primitivo’s that seemed quite “gentle/approachable” in style, though maybe a little more fruit-forward than a lot of Italian wine I’ve tried. (Cortenova is one I can remember.) Montepulciano di Abruzzo might be a good type to explore also. Happy tasting!
Look for Trousseau!
