CLEVELAND, Ohio — Le Marche Clifton has officially opened, operating an all-day French market space next to La Ville Lumière.

Le Marche Clifton, 10431 Clifton Boulevard, hosted its grand opening on Wednesday, Dec. 10. The market offers crepes made to-order and a curated selection of wine, cheese, charcuterie, butter and pantry items.

Meg DiGesare, market manager and marketing director for LVL, and chef Kevin O’Connell, spearheaded the project. It took them a few months to transform the space from a former dentist office into a neighborhood market. It’s connected to the restaurant, with customers able to shop after they eat or vice versa.

“Our goal is to create a space where people feel transported — a place for morning coffee, an afternoon treat, a last-minute bottle of wine, or a beautifully crafted board for a gathering,” DiGesare said.

Baguettes from the Breadsmith in Lakewood, pastries including various croissants and bagels from the Cleveland Bagel Co. round out the food menu, alongside seasonal sandwiches.

The crepe menu includes $14 crepes to order, with sweet options like white chocolate and fresh raspberry and savory options like rosemary ham and shredded gruyere.

Additionally, locally grown cut flower arrangements and farm-fresh eggs, honey and more from Cedar Crest Farm are also standout products. A variety of cheeses, from French raclette to Swiss Tête de Moine, a cheese that’s shaved into rosettes, is available alongside real French butter.
