Tried Pizza Dada today – easily belongs in the same conversation as Jimmy’s and Zazas for NY style
Excellent NY style slice in the Sterling Food Hall. Right up there with Jimmy's and Zazas in my opinion. They sell whole pies too but only after 1pm

Is it new or is it the same pizza place that’s been in that food hall for a while?

Good lord the comments in this thread…
…anyways, I agree OP! We went a couple weeks ago and had quite a few slices. They were all delicious and basically as close to a true NY slice in Chicago as I’ve had.
If I still worked in the loop, it’d be in my lunch line up for sure.

that actually looks better than Jimmy’s!

Am I the only one who thinks Paulie Gees is far and away the best NY style slice?

This is Chicago we don’t care about NY slices.

Absolutely love this place. Easily the best White Pie I’ve had in Chicago. Just wish they’d bring the cured ham slice back. One of the best.
I have no idea where to post this or if they’ve fixed it, but I feel like they have one person that is working behind the counter that is kind of lazy. I’ve gotten the prosecco and mortadella a couple of times. Usually they spread it out so it kind of melts into the slice. One time it was just all tossed on together in one pile which because of how thick it is actually meant the center stayed cold.

Ooh this looks awesome! I love Zaza’s slices, but got turned off by the talk in here about the owner, so I’m excited for an alt to try.

The amount of stupidity in these comments about making pizza. ….if you never made it from scratch then shut the fuck up. Plain and simple like a slice of cheese.
And to those comparing it to new york …… No one gives a a single fuck. That’s the east side this is the mid west. Tavern style till I die.

They also have a “happy hour” special. I think it starts at 2 and believe it is buy one, get one half price

Ima ny slice snob and just came here. Easily the best ny slice in Chicago and on par with the top spots in ny. The updated Chicago ny slice rankings: 1.)pizza dada 2.)Zazas 3.)Paulie Gees

Place is legit, pizza is thin and crispy! My favorite is the vodka slice!
Around the time they opened, they had a grubhub special running. Ordered the Tartufo pie and it was as good as Jimmy’s to me. I miss Jimmys but I no longer live up north, glad this is an option down here.

the looks verrrry legit, especially the underside. a lot of the chicago ny style pizza places here never have a crunchy bottom, but this looks exactly like that.
