I spend a lot of time in Portugal’s wine regions and never get tired of views like this.
The Douro Valley has a unique atmosphere: peaceful, warm and full of character.
For those who know Portugal:
Which wine regions have been your favourites, and why?
Always curious to hear different perspectives.

Douro used to be my go-to region for Portugal, but I’ve since discovered Bairrada, which produces some of the best wines of portugal. Bageiras makes crazy good red wines, their garrafeira is one of my favourite wines at the moment. Buçaco makes very good wines as well, especially their white reserva is like no other.
Alentejo, despite being one of Portugal more well known regions, stills is incredibly overlooked (?) even with its monotonous terrain, it has some incredible variety. Some of my favs come from coastal wineries from the region, such as Vicentino, incredible bottles but reasonably priced
Also, the Azores produces some interesting stuff , I’d check out anything from Maçanita 🙂
