Tiny, flavour-packed dumplings filled with seasoned beef and topped with creamy garlic yogurt and sizzling butter sauce — this is MANTI, one of Turkiye’s most beloved dishes! ❤️

Ingredients

For the Dough:
• 500 g flour
• 1 egg
• 10 g salt
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 200 ml water

For the Meat Filling:
• 300 g minced beef
• 10 g salt
• 5 g black pepper
• 5 g red chilli powder
• Parsley (finely chopped)

For the Sauce:
• 200 g yogurt
• 4 garlic cloves (grated)
• Salt
• Dried mint
• Sumac
• Red chilli powder
• Butter

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Dough:
Mix flour, egg, olive oil, salt, and water until you get a medium-soft dough. Form into balls, cover, and let rest.

2️⃣ Make the Filling:
Grate the onion into the minced meat, squeeze out excess juice, and add the pulp. Mix in salt, pepper, chilli powder, and parsley. Knead well.

3️⃣ Shape the Manti:
Roll out the dough thinly. Cut into 2×2 cm squares. Place a small bit of filling in the center. Fold the corners together to seal tightly.

4️⃣ Cook:
Bring 2 liters of salted water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook for about 15 minutes.

5️⃣ Make the Sauce:
Mix yogurt, grated garlic, and salt. In a small pan, melt butter and add red chili powder, dried mint, and sumac.

6️⃣ Serve:
Drain the cooked manti, plate them, and pour the yogurt sauce on top. Drizzle with the hot butter mixture.
