I can honestly say this is by far the worst hot sauce I’ve ever tried. Even Taco bell sauce is better than this. Very runny and sweet. I have no idea what this pairs with lol

The threshold to manufacture hot sauce is very low. I’ve made sauces better than half the crap on the market.

I have not had this sauce, but TryMe brand does make a sauce that I grew up with and still really like. Tiger sauce. It is a sweet chile kind of sauce, not particularly hot but very tasty. I use it mostly on casserole style dishes, especially baked macaroni and cheese. I dont know how similar these two sauces are, but if they are similar maybe thats a good use for it.

I will definitely take your word for it. Thank you

My dad would keep that around when I was young. I like it based on memories

I’m not a big fan of any habanero hot sauces tbh, unless it’s a minor ingredient
Habeneros can have a sickly sweet overripe melon flavor, which doesn’t pair with the savory food I’m usually adding hot sauce to

Whaaa? That stuff is a great all arounder! Pretty basic vinegar/habanero sauce, awesome on pizza, eggs, potatoes, etc. Pretty mild these days. It used to be spicier about 15 years ago.

Interesting. I love this stuff. Been good for over 20 years

That’s wild how much taste varies. This is a very well beloved sauce on here for being acidic, some hab flavor and yes a little sweet from carrot. It pairs well with anything latin, hummus, pizza, wings.

Didn’t YS have a lawsuit years ago about using carrots as a supplement to the habaneros?

That packaging hasn’t changed in 25+ years. I thought it tasted nasty then, and it’s not much better now.
Melinda’s and Marie Sharps run circles around it.

Harsh take. Admittedly I haven’t had any YS in years, like early 2000’s. But it’s certainly not horrible. I thought it was similar to Pain is Good, which also incorporated some carrot.

New tagline: Barely any fire, A LOT OF SWEET, NO FLAVOR. Yeah, this sauce is trash.

I forgot this stuff existed. I don’t remember loving it or hating it but thanks for the flashback.

Never heard of it, never seen it. Obviously that’s why, thanks for the warning.
