Just received my new machine (profitec go) and it had some condensation moisture when I unboxed it… do I need to wait to use it, or do anything to dry it out before I try to pull the first shot?

Lucky. Mine was held hostage by UPS for weeks before being “delivered” last night. I sure didn’t sign for it and they didn’t upload any photos. Just “delivered”. I’m furious.

I would not had it shipped as a parcel. That box has been thrown around the warehouse in the van etc etc.

You’re good to go. It’s a little wet because it was tested. You can take out the water reservoir if you want to wash it, but it’s probably unnecessary.

Presumably, the condensation simply is water from the system, from when the machine was tested in the factory/by the retailer (unless something else is happening here–e.g. damage in shipment). I don’t see a reason why you would have to wait or do anything special. That being said, I would run a bunch of blank shots through, to clean anything/old water away.

Nice. I see you got the wooden accents. Congrats. Don’t worry about the condensation. Just go about normal setting it up. They test each machine so its expected there will be condensation.

Love the yellow! Went with stainless steel look a year ago, but it was a tough choice. Been a great machine.

I received mine today as well, also yellow!! Had some moisture but just around the brew group and steam wand, so must be from testing. Water tank was completely dry though.
