Recipe: 1 cup butter 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 salt 1 cup dark brown sugar ( this makes them extra chewy) 1/3 reg sugar 2 large eggs 1 tbsp milk 2 tsp vanilla Chunky Chocolate chips or bars to your desired cute about 8 oz? Sea salt to finish
Obvi brown your butter, set aside and cool before whipping it with the wet ingredients and sugar. Add dry ingredients and fold in chips. IMPORTANT: bc the butter is melted you really need to chill these, 3 hours in the fridge or 30- 45 minutes freezer (I do this bc I’m impatient) bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes. When they get that slight browned edge it’s time to pull. Sprinkle salt as soon as they get out. 🙂 makes about 12-16

They look almost identical to my wife’s burnt butter cookies and so I’ll assume they taste just as delicious. She took the most recent batch to a cookie exchange which was very disappointing to me because there was zero chance she was coming back with anything better

I’m dieting hard these days but let me tell you, these look PERFECT (and even more perfect considering my current food state lol). I’m absolutely bookmarking/saving this to make at a later date!
