For a quick and delicious dinner, this salmon recipe delivers flavour without the usual fishy taste.
Packed with heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, salmon is one of the most nutritious fish you can add to your meals. Whether prepared simply with vegetables or used in a traybake or fish pie, it’s remarkably adaptable, reports the Express.
However, for many people, salmon stays strictly off their plates because of its particular aroma and flavour. Tackling this widespread issue, Italian culinary blogger Maria Vannelli has revealed a foolproof salmon recipe on She Loves Biscotti that guarantees “no fishy taste”.
She said: “There is no fishy taste with this soy maple-glazed salmon recipe, thanks to the wonderful combination of maple syrup, soy sauce, and garlic. It is guaranteed to convert even the pickiest fish eaters. You have to taste it to believe it.”

For anyone wanting a salmon dish that’s both gentle in flavour and easy to make, this recipe meets every requirement. The secret is in quickly marinating the fish in a bold, tasty blend, reports the Mirror.
Maria observed: “You will be amazed at how this small investment of time and just a few simple ingredients can improve the overall taste of your salmon.”
“Maple syrup, soy sauce, and garlic come together to give this maple-glazed salmon incredible flavour.”
The fish needs to be left to marinade for 30 minutes(Image: Getty)Ingredients (serves four)Four salmon fillets, rinsed and driedA third of a cup of maple syrupThree tablespoons of soy sauceOne to two tablespoons of sesame oilFour to five garlic clovesOne teaspoon of ginger, gratedBlack pepper, to tasteMethod
Start by washing and drying the salmon fillets thoroughly, then place them in a single layer in a shallow glass baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic cloves, freshly grated ginger, and black pepper, whisking well.
There’s no need for additional salt in this recipe, as the soy sauce provides all the savoury flavour you’ll require.
Smother the salmon fillets with the marinade, ensuring both sides are well coated. Start with the skin side facing up.
Wrap the marinated salmon in clingfilm and place it in the fridge for about 30 minutes, turning the fillets a few times during this period.
As the half-hour mark approaches, preheat your oven to 200C/180Fan/Gas Mark 6. Transfer the salmon, minus the marinade, to a baking dish lined with parchment paper and bake for approximately 15 minutes.
The precise cooking time will depend on the thickness of your fillets.
While your salmon is browning in the oven, pour the leftover marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
Once your salmon is out of the oven, brush this sticky maple syrup glaze over the top.
