Is it soft or rubbery? I used to go to this restaurant in Puerto Rico that had a octopus salad/ceviche type dish that the octopus meat was not chewy and have not had anything else like it since, of so I’d love to be able to add something like this to a salad at home

To any canned fish lovers in this thread, I would like to recommend the channel Canned Fish Files w/ Matthew Carlson on YouTube. Even if you just find it fascinating, give him a watch. I never thought I’d enjoy watching someone review canned fish so much til I found his channel. And he has at least one review of canned octopus
