There has been some talk in this sub about feeling like you need to compare to the people who have fancy set ups, lots of money for fresh produce, etc.

My life is better because I’m on this diet, and I usually don’t eat beautiful or perfect food.

This is a can of cold rinsed kidney beans, canned albacore tuna, and a little bit of sumack and zaatar powder. It was quick, it’s a bit ugly, and yet I remain well fed and my grocery bill isn’t super high. I’m 22. I just graduated college, and I make 24k a year. It is isn’t glorious, but I’m so happy!

That’s awesome! I often do something similar with a can of tuna. Mix it up with some white beans and whatever else I have on hand, like leftover vegetables or olives. I’ll often cook a little pasta to go into it. Dress with a little olive oil and maybe a splash of vinegar. Boom. Quick and easy meal.

Life is too short to eat like this, in my opinion, but glad you’re happy! Food is fuel but it’s also a lot of other things too. There’s a happy medium that’s accessible to most people. I think most of us were just tired of one particular poster posting the same pile of beautiful produce every 2 hours.

Basically what I’ve been eating. Chicken on a bed of beans

This is a nice balance to other posts!

I think the middle is the best place to be. Sometimes Im tired, busy, broke and my plate looks like this. But sometimes I need something a little more to keep me on track and from grabbing something more interesting but less healthy (fast food. Its fast food. Im a tired busy parent ans its -7 outside. More than one meal of cold beans will send me straight into the arms of a burger lol)
