PARAMOUNT, Calif. (KABC) — Load up on carbs as you prepare your finishing touches on the holiday season.

This week, we’re stopping by the family-owned and operated Café Corleone Italian Restaurant in the city of Paramount.

“I was waiting for your call because I have so many people who told me over the years, ‘Oh my God, you’re the best Italian restaurant there is, how come you’re not on Channel 7?'” Alicia Costa said. “I said, ‘Well, someday, someday they will come. And this is it. And here we are.'”

Hailing from Sicily, Chef Costa brings over 50 years of culinary excellence to Paramount.

Their meat sauce put them on the map.

You’ll want an order of the lasagna, or the spaghetti and meatballs. The linguini with clams and the tortellini are also fan favorites.

And don’t forget Doroles, a delicious white cream and spinach pizza.

The food is fantastic, and the ambiance delivers that old-school charm, with antiques from Italy, old photographs and Al Pacino.

This coming spring, Café Corleone will celebrate 20 years in the community of Paramount.

“We absolutely love our customers,” Giovanna Costa said. “We love the community, and you know, it is so amazing to feel that love come back at us.”

After three years of watching our ABC7 Community Eats segment, Alicia said she was wondering what took me so long to call.

“I was absolutely elated when I heard your voice,” Alicia said.

The restaurant is open six days a week, and closed on Mondays. Reservations are not required.

Café Corleone is located at 15337 Paramount Blvd., in Paramount.
