I had to do some blood work, so I found myself at Roncy looking for a place nearby to have lunch.

Walked into Paddler (1710 Queen St.), and damn, did it blow my mind.
Friday at 1pm, and it was empty, which initially worried me a bit. (More people came in later)

We ordered the Mo Yang, calamari, meatballs and Beef Boat Noodles, and every single item was phenomenal.

As someone who has been to Thailand, this is the first, truly authentic Thai flavours I had in the city.
The flavours were deep, layered and rich.
Big portions, fairly priced. They weren't made just to be pretty on Instagram.
It was very obvious everything was made to order, and wasn't previously frozen
The owner was so sweet, and it felt like we stepped into her living room.
The ambience is cozy, and very family-ish.
It's on the smaller side, maybe 10-12 tables.

Considering I never heard of them before, and when I came in it was empty – more people should know about them.

We have some really good Thai food in the city, but even compared to Koh Lipe, Pai etc, this was better. And supporting a little family owned business is always important.

So yeah, I never left a restaurant and left a review until now, but they deserve it.

(We enjoyed the food so much, we didn't take any pictures, so adding a pic from their Google reviews for the visibility)
