Hi, i’m autistic and not a picky eater

What the fuck is a “steak surprise?”
Ok_Zookeepergame5141
Hmm… I have not heard that stereotype about people with autism. I will have to ask my friend who is on the spectrum. Although I know for sure he eats more than just chicken.

I’m autistic as fuck and I’ll eat basically anything. Except avocado. And badly fried potatoes.

Was the surprise when the cow stepped on a landmine? Because that meat had exploded.

I’m not autistic (…I mean, maybe I am a little) but I wouldn’t want to eat *that*. I bet it’s actually tasty, too, but just… the texture, man. My son has some pretty big food issues and while he doesn’t eat steak either, I feel like the eggs would be the worst offender for this dish, not the steak.
PeachesLatoure1944
My autistic son only eats pork chops and every now and then, steak. Other times its mostly cheezeballs, cheese its and Ramen noodles… He also can’t smell, so Im sure that doesn’t help with his taste buds on top of textures.

Lol me and most of.my autistic friends LOVE eating lots of different and varied foods. I associate this with ARFID, not autism (which I know some autistic people have, but so do NT people…like most conditions).

Chalk up another post that involves “autism” for absolutely no reason.

I’m quite picky myself but I ate so much dry chicken breast growing up I don’t care for it now
Red meat on the other hand, I love red meat so much that seasoning it with anything beyond salt feels like ruining it for me, because it makes it taste less like meat

Hahaha have never heard that before. I would eat what ever that is though with some thick toast on the side or a chew roll. Looks good

i cannot really truly say something about a fellow autistic person’s safe food, but i really want to say dog food again. okay and it is better than what i thought it was at first glance, steak and bananas.

After seeing this, I’ll never say that autistic people only eat chicken. I never said it before but Im not gonna say it now either.

In my experience, the few autistic people I’ve known, (including myself) seem to LOVE carbs and processed food.
