Their other pastries, like their egg tarts, are also really good. Plus, the owner is really nice.

Tao Hong is great, but I suspect the secret is out: I went this Saturday afternoon, but they were completely sold out of egg tarts. Luckily Double Crispy is around the corner!

Can someone explain to me what the deal is with Mei La Wah? Why did they get so popular?
Yeah, Tao Hong’s pork buns are better than Mei Lai Wah’s which were too fatty the last time I tried them. I mainly go to Tao Hong for their egg tarts when I visit them, though.
