This gets advertised in my area once or twice a year. What’s the gimmick here is it all just terrible meat?

Absolute trash. Do not buy anything.

They are the 20 thinnest ribeyes you’ve ever seen

Horrible meat. Thin and bottom of the barrel.

I had something similar in my area like 8 years ago. I asked to see the meat, they were the worst quality ribeyes I’d ever seen and were maybe one centimeter thick. It was trash. The guy pulled up to the bar I was at on a football Sunday with his refrigerated truck so I figured, why not go look.

I respectfully said “nah, I’m good on that.”

20 steaks, each about 40% gristle, harvested from a spindly dairy cow, and each one thin enough that you’ll need calipers to get an accurate measurement.

My grandpa used to occasionally buy from the chest freezer-in-the-bed-of-the S-10 guy. It was amazing how every piece of beef, no matter the cut, tasted like liver.

Don’t bother, if you are curious, by all means go see, but be prepared for a rapid, high pressure salesman. Imo this is 100% trash meat

Terrible would be an understatement. Barely could be called meat, super thin, injected with a saline solution to add weight.

Not even Choice…Select or ungraded. Either way, you get what you pay for. A $2 ribeye is going to taste like a $2 ribeye.

  11. I saw this once. I assumed it was trash meat.

My wife was all excited and wanted to buy some. I told her it was probably trash meat.

She brought it all home and stocked it in our freezer

I cooked a bunch of it. Everyone in the family could tell the difference.

Stuff is trash, not worth your time.

Well… If you’re using it for cheese steaks, at least you won’t have to worry about slicing them.

These trucks aren’t 100% a scam, because you technically get “meat”, but they are a scammy, unethical business. They exist to try to upsell you a bunch of other low quality meat and seafood.

I mean, cmon, we have record high beef prices, why would this shitty truck on the side of the road have anything that is remotely quality or a good deal? It’s like poor grammar in scam emails that only fool morons to begin with. If you wander to one of these trucks, you are the mark.

Door to door meat has always been as scam. That’s why trump sold mail order steaks, classic scammer bullshit.

They will sell you a freezer as well. Its a shitty steak scam.

Is this clinton MO or clinton township MI? Ive lived in both!

Do not fall victim to this. Unless you want to eat steaks that look like they were molded together in a lab and taste like you’re not sure what animal it came from, then go ahead.

Don’t buy this crap. I fell for it one time. Never again. I felt bad for the cow tbh

Just go to the Hyvee on the other side of town. Better steaks. Or the Meat Locker is where my family in that area goes
