Gift Guide: Give an Experience

If you’re shopping for someone who has recently downsized or a kid whose parents have maxed out their storage space, gifting an experience rather than a tangible item is always a classy move. Luckily, there are plenty of delicious experiences around 417-land for foodies of all ages (more on this topic coming soon). Here are some ideas to get you started.

• For the kids: Since I highly doubt my 14-year-old nephew is reading this, I’ll go ahead and tell you my present for him. Since he is a big ramen fan, my husband and I are taking him out to eat a few days after Christmas at Kuick Noodles. He’s never been, and I know he is going to love getting to pick out noodles from around the world with toppings, and then getting to prepare them in the instant ramen machines. I know he’d also love a trip to Shabu Hotpot or KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, so I may save that for a future gift.

• For the aspiring chef: There are so many cooking classes around town. Consider purchasing tickets for a cooking or baking class at Pickwick & Cherry, The Workshop at Finley Farms or Blue Heron Farm & Bakery.

• For the couple: Good Spirits & Co. always has tasty happenings going on at their headquarters in the Rountree neighborhood. If you need to cross a couple off your list, buying them tickets to their Sunday Supper Club is a great idea.
