Julia Child's world famous vinegarette salad dressing recipe. [music] We're going to make it right now. Start with 1/3 to 1/2 cup good quality olive oil. Get the best extra virgin olive oil that you can afford. To the olive oil, we're adding the juice of one lemon. Now, I'm making mine in one of these good seasons. Old seasons. What was it? Old seasons. Seven C's. Good. Good seasons. I can't remember this old crew thing. You can also make it in a mason jar if you need to or a jelly jar or [music] any kind of jar with a tight fitting lid. All right, back to the dressing. We've got the olive oil. We're going to add the juice of one lemon. These are seedless. If you have seeds there, some juicy lemons. Next, a half a tablespoon of red wine vinegar. 1/2 a tablespoon of don mustard. 1/2 tbspoon minced shallot. Salt and [music] pepper to taste. Cover and shake. I think Julia would be so proud. She'd also say it needs more pepper. Good seasons. It's good seasons. Just the container though. The rest is Julia Child's. And I present to you Julia Child's world famous vinegarette [music] in a good season's crew.

Lite and perfect for Christmas dinner not creamy, which I love, but with all the gravy on top of everything, this dressing will cut through the grease and butter on everything on our yummy Christmas feast. I love so much about Julia , so thanks for keeping her alive. Merry Christmas, Jesus is the reason for the season ps mom used to buy good season salad dressing packets, she was frugal and bottles of dressing cost more. Every now and then, a deal would arise, if you bought 2 packets, you got a free shaker. I thought that was cool, and mom had a few of those bottles. 1964-7.
Love it! The Funny Chef
This is the best classic dressing… Variations are easy too. 😋
