FARGO — The Salvation Army is getting some help from a local store this holiday season.

Hornbacher’s and Cloverdale are teaming up to donate hams for the charity’s Christmas food boxes.

More than 650 hams will be donated for local families in need.

Maj. Abe Tamayo from the Salvation Army said support from local businesses is crucial to help the charity serve as many people as possible.

“It takes a community to provide all these provisions to the area, for our needy and for those who are less fortunate than we. So we’re always grateful for businesses that support our mission,” Tamayo said.

The Salvation Army will distribute more than 600 Christmas food boxes to local families on Monday, Dec. 22.
