Buttercup in south loop

Haven’t seen this mentioned here yet and I have enjoyed going a few times since it opened – Buttercup in south loop, around the corner from Oliver’s. They serve a small menu of coffee and pastries in the morning, all of which i’ve had are good, especially the pistachio mocha and the cruffin. in the evening they have drinks and small plates, with their focus being amaro for which they have an enormous selection and helpful staff to help you make a choice if you don’t know anything about amaro like me. food does not seem like their focus in the evening so we were very pleasantly surprised with the food we tried, particularly the truffle pizzettq and the pistachio cake. sorry for the rough pictures of the dinner food – it is quite dimly lit at night
