The first set was fine (2nd photo), but second set turned out more wrinkly.

Could it be because it over macaronaged in the piping bag? By the time I got to the end of the bag, it felt more liquidy.

    Looks similar to the batches I had done when I first started off. I’d go along with your guess of over-macronage. Everybody has a reason for why they over-did it; enough practice, identifying the mistake, and fixing it- then you’ll be fine. Not bad!

    Can be over macronaged or not strong enough meringue. I would guess poor meringue stability as you don’t have spread feet but could be a combination
