SOLID Katsu in Pasadena

I ordered the cheese-pork Katsu which was $20 and added a side of the curry sauce for $3.

The only thing I disliked actually was the curry sauce. I usually love Japanese curry but here the taste was just off and too peppery, so I was a bit sad about that.

But the Katsu itself was so juicy, cheesy, and has a really nice crispiness to it.

The rice was made well, the miso soup was good, and the small sides like the pickles and sauce were excellent.

Service is fantastic, all the waitresses are so kind.

It’s a small place with maybe 10 tables, I arrived a few minutes after opening and just a few minutes after me the place was packed with a ton of to-go orders
