Its the old style of champagne corks, look up how to open a bottle of henri giraud champagne.

Nothing. That’s just the closure on that kind of wine. Rather than a more traditional Champagne cage over the cork, it has that bail.

You just pry it off. See this video: [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7zkhjcC1qNg](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7zkhjcC1qNg)

Push it out from where it connects to the glass lip on the bottle, can be tight. If that doesn’t work use a knife to pry one side up and you’re sorted.

The bar is called an agrafe. Kind of a pain in the ass but you can wedge it loose with a small knife. Just be careful because sometimes it’ll fly out.

Hi, that’s an agrafe (French for staple). Take a knife or a screwdriver and unlatch one side from below the bottle lip while keeping your thumb over the top of the cork. Remove agrafe and open cork as usual.

  6. A thumb on the top of the cork and a small flat screwdriver to open the “thing” (don’t know the name) that braces the cork.

There was a Lambrusco that was really popular a couple of years ago that had this same enclosure.

Probably saw people asking how to open it about a half dozen times.

Have you hear of the word “pliers”?
