That’s a very nice looking rib roast, and your dog thinks so too!

  2. A 6″ flexible curved boning knife would make your job easier.

My question is why are rib roasts so cheap this time of year but throughout the year they are so expensive? Why can they not be 6.99 a pound throughout the year. Kinda makes you wonder.

My absolute favorite meat for a holiday is a rib roast. I find it much easier to get good results. My wife prefers turkey. Needless to say, we have a turkey every Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

That’s not actually true this year. We were promised a frozen turkey far enough ahead of time to thaw for Christmas this year. What we received was a mostly thawed bird. That means we are having turkey tonight and a rib roast on Thursday. My wife isn’t thrilled.

Cooking early eh??? How big is this meat tray?????

That dog is the one praying to the meat gods.

  7. I’m throwing in a prayer for the gods for you, too. What a lovely piece of meat.

  8. I dunno if I’d even try that in a home/non-commercial oven

The question is do you have an oven big enough? Looks great. Rib roasts and prime rib are so easy to make. I use the 500 degrees for 15 minutes then drop the temperature to 325. I make a great rib for it while it gets to room temperature before beginning. I use a meat thermometer and when it gets to 130 degrees it is a beautiful rare. Or let it get to 135 if you want a medium rare to medium rare

    🤣🤣🤣
I do a version of this every year as well!!!
So comforting to see I’m not alone 😊

Just duplicate what you did last year 😉 There is something slightly demonic about blessing/praying over a meal with a butcher knife in your hand though 😂

Ah, that’s like a $250.00 roast. Maybe more. Who could c afford that?

Think we all would dearly like to know your intended prep/cook for this little “cut”

  14. Townie_Downer

I’ve been cutting them into steaks and can’t find anything to cut through the bone properly:(

Your dog seems to actually be a sheep.
