BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Cajun Navy 2016 is ensuring every family has a memorable Christmas. Some of the best holiday memories are shared with loved ones at the table on Christmas, and this year, that is a priority for Cajun Navy 2016.

The organization is giving out Christmas meals in Livingston Parish to families in need.

The organization is giving out Christmas meals in Livingston Parish to families in need.

Families needed to be nominated by December 19 to be selected, with the meal dispersion taking place in time for Christmas dinner.

“Livingston Parish is where Cajun Navy 2016 was born,” said Jon Bridgers Sr., Founder and CEO of Cajun Navy 2016. “This Christmas dinner is about coming home and serving the same community that helped shape who we are. It’s a way for us to continue doing what we’ve always done—taking care of our neighbors.
