A family-run Italian delicatessen in Surrey has launched picnic hampers ahead of the May Bank Holiday weekend, featuring authentic ingredients that taste like you’re holiday in the Mediterranean.
With sunny weather forecast over the long weekend, it could not be a more ideal time to roll out the picnic blanket and dig into delicious treats in the sunshine. Valentina Delicatessen in Weybridge is a one-stop shop for fine Italian groceries and delicacies, plus it has a café and bar too.
For more than 30 years, the family-run Valentina delicatessen has been a destination for people in Surrey and London looking for exceptional Italian ingredients and produce – and this summer, Valentina is widening its offering to include luxury hampers and home cooked meals-to-go, alongside every day ingredients that give summer meals and picnics a distinctly Italian flair – the perfect way to enjoy the Mediterranean without having to actually leave home.

The shop sells range of more than 70 different salumi and charcuterie meats, and 63 varieties of cheese, along with a wide range of sauces, pastas, pestos, and oils, all sourced directly from Italian producers. There is Valentina’s own blend Italian coffee roasted daily and freshly baked pastries for breakfast, along with Valentina’s homemade meal counter adorned with traditional antipasti and favourites such as lasagna, cannelloni, parmigiana, arancini, polpette, and caponata, all cooked daily from Valentina’s own kitchens.

The beautiful hand-packed wicker hampers are loaded with traditional delicacies such as olives and sundried tomatoes to mouth-watering pâté, cured meat and crackers, alongside a selection of wines from crisp pinot grigios to deep fruity Barolos. Other highlights at the deli include:
