



I caught happy hour at the new Van Horn’s Steakhouse on 2nd Street. It opened a couple weeks ago where Crú Wine Bar used to be.
The dipped roast beef & cheddar sandwich is only on the happy hour menu at the bar and it’s pretty fantastic. I really liked the horseradish cream, the beef was densely layered with a nice jus. Pretty outstanding considering it’s about the cheapest thing you can order other than a few oysters.
Happy hour just started this week and they don’t have HH menus printed but the bartenders are well versed on the options.
There’s also a steak tartare for $10, three $10 cocktails and East Coast oysters are $3 each. Bartender said they will have a lunch menu starting in January and that they are fully booked tonight and several others through the holidays.
