Considering getting one of these to add to my collection. Is one better than the other?

Both of these machines are an excellent choice. I’ve got the Roundhead model.

I just purchased the round head model! Personally, I think it looks a little better than the flat head, but that’s more a preference. They both look nice!

I’ve got the round head and it’s worked well for me.

Round top, specifically the breville branded on, we have had it for years , it’s solid

My Evoluo is 10 years old, and last week I just sent it out to be repaired (it has gotten incredibly LOUD!). Otherwise, it’s still going strong!

I have the DeLonghi Flat Head Evoluo. There’s no machine better than an Evoluo. regardless of round or flat, made by Breville or DeLonghi. The Evoluo is a beast. Mine is just over three years old. I can close it with one hand, it heats up quickly and is very quiet. Makes great coffee.
The new Vertuo Up, which I also have is pretty good. The Evoluo does not have connectivity or the capability of extracting multiple cup sizes and expert mode like the Up does.

Round head breville one (second picture) has worked flawlessly for me for three years with regular maintenance. This was after I decided to switch from Keurig, which seemed to break down every year or two even with me, descaling regularly, etc.. I have nothing but good things to say

I bought the second one because my colleague had the one in the first photo and exchanged it twice because of leaks.

Honestly- these are both great choices. Former employee – and when I worked at a boutique, these took a beating with constant daily use, and they lasted forever (as long as you keep them cleaned/maintained). I think it comes down to which is more aesthetically pleasing. I personally like the Evoluo- but would feel confident recommending either for longevity and performance.

The pods will bankrupt you! Buy original-compatible nespresso machine. $1.40 each for vertuo pods $.30 each for delicious off brand original pods

I have the first one and it’s been a tank for me – 0 issues in over 3 years. I was offered both of these by Nespresso as a replacement for my second broken Next model and ended up choosing the Evoluo because of the base. I don’t think you can fit taller glasses under the second one. I keep my Evoluo on a cutting board for extra height and can fit glasses and travel mugs under it with ease.

My sister has the second one. Been working great for at least 7 years now

Thanks everyone for your help! Unfortunately, both of these machines were sold before I made my decision. I ended up purchasing a red Vertuo Plus for $25.
