Happy holiday's all. I know this is a Kamado Joe group but I had a few more questions to help me in my kamado journey. I posted previously about a used Big Joe S1 and was told the asking price was a bit high. I was able to find an unused Primo XL that hasn't been registered for the warranty yet. If I can get it for around $1200-1300 would that be a good price? Any input on the pricing and grill itself would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  1. Beautiful grill. The shape might be enough to make any price difference ti a big Joe worth it, but itโ€™s up yo you.

Does it have stand or any accessories? I’d think since this is really a used item and a new one sans stand is $1360 the price is high.
If it’s worth it to you go for it, but I’d try to bring the price down some more.

Check the primo website for warranty information. Industry standard is 1st owner with reciept. Dosnt matter if never been registered. Its the reciept date.

Standard fair price is 1/2 retail. Since that is new, if the warranty checks out, probably 75% of retail is fair.

XL400 w/stand model usually goes for $2299 but can get on the site for $1839. The All-In-One package comes with the grill head, an ergonomic handle, cradle stand, side tables, ash tool, and grate lifter.

Buy it. You sound like you want it and compared to a new one it is cheaper. And it looks brand new. Go fo it

If itโ€™s in as good of shape as it appearsโ€ฆget it. You can offer lower and see, but at $1200 thatโ€™s a great price.

LOVE my Primo! Looks like a good buy. Check very carefully for cracks (not normal finish crazing) on the shell, lid, and firebox. Firebox is slightly less important as the cooker itself as it much cheaper to replace. Ask why they are selling it; not what they expected, donโ€™t use it much, etc.
