This ham recipe is perfect for your Christmas dinner, starting with melting butter and preparing the glaze, then assembling the ham with orange slices and baking the ham to perfection. Ingredients
Ham
* 1 fully cooked spiral ham, 8–10 lbs
Glaze
* 1 ½ cups brown sugar
* ½ cup pure maple syrup
* ½ cup honey
* ½ cup unsalted butter
* 2 tsp Dijon mustard
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1-2 tsp ginger (optional)
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

Roasting Pan
* 2 sliced oranges
* 1-2 cinnamon sticks
* 2 cups apple cider or orange juice, or pineapple juice

🍽 Instructions
1. Prep
Preheat oven to 325°F. Place ham in pan, cut-side down.
2. Make Glaze
1. Melt butter.
2. Add brown sugar, maple syrup, and honey.
3. Stir in Dijon, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, and apple cider or orange or. pineapple juice.
4. Simmer 5–7 minutes until thick and glossy, or add 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water and combine.
3. Bake
1. Pour ⅓ of the glaze over the ham.
2. Cover tightly with foil.
3. Bake 1½ hours, basting with glaze every 20–25 minutes.
4. Uncover and bake 20 minutes to caramelize.
4. Serve

  2. I am just wondering why you didn't lay the ham sideways where all the liquid could leak down in each slice of ham
    And does it really make a difference?Which way you lay it
