I am looking for a coffee machine to gift for Christmas. Up to £200? I've seen soo many but the most popular is the nespresso vertuo pop. In my local asda they sell costa and Starbucks pods that say nespresso on them, ive added screenshots. I wanted to ask if these will work and be a more affordable option?

No. Those pods are Original Line (OL), which is the only system that permits third party pods. OL machines include Essenza Mini, Pixie, and Citiz. OL makes espresso only but you can extend the espresso into an Americano or lungo for a taller cup.
Vertuo Line (VL) only uses Nespresso-made pods (their own brand and Starbucks, where sold). That system makes multiple sizes of coffee drinks.
Those are OL pods. The vertuo pods look drastically different.
