Saw these reduced and thought why not give them a go. The Mrs has decided not to join me 😂

Got them trimmed and about to get seared in butter, and served with some veggies. Wondering if these are considered tasty or just gross?

I’m sure there’s an Adam Zimmern bizarre foods recipe out there somewhere

The beef hearts I had a while back were some of the best meat I’ve ever tasted.
    I’d be curious to hear.

Yeah on a scale of hot dogs to human flesh on the grill scale that’s a solid 9.2 in my book. 😂

You could make some good kebabs if you got some lamb tail fat and a little spices.

I’ve had beef heart cooked in a pressure cooker. It was really good. I don’t know how this would be seared. It might be pretty tough

  6. Looks like people usually do stew or kebabs with those. Heart meat can have a bit of gamey iron flavor. Really protein rich and nutritious but needs a marinade or spices to counterbalance.

You have to treat them properly to get good flavor out of those or any other heart meat. Lamb in particular will do better with citrus and pretty heavy seasoning to counter balance the gamey flavor. My favorite preparation is to have these cut into small even 1-2 inch pieces, skewered and grilled over an open flame to medium rare. Heavy coarse salt and basil/thyme as seasoning. I cut a lemon in half put olive oil on it and sear the flesh and serve a lemon half with the meat so everyone can lemon to taste. Good luck!

The hearts of ANY animal is usually good eating. I’m sure they’ll be great.

  9. I wanna the finished product, and also how you spiced these

  10. Beef or chicken hearts are good on skewer. Haven’t tried lamb hearts but I’m sure it’ll taste fine.

If you don’t like them they’re great for dogs! Lots of healthy dog treats are made with lamb lungs and hearts

  12. They’re good for your heart and probably need braising. I eat offal when I can find them, they make great inexpensive protein

A friend made beef heart, which I’m sure it can be done with Lamb, she took fresh red capsicum and garlic and may have been oregano blanded to a liquid marinated the heart over night then grilled them. Delish

You’re not supposed to eat them. They are purely for sacrificial purposes. My personal demon likes them as a part of hearty stew.
