  6. When I was a kid every time we visited my grandparents my grandma had made some french onion dip and I loved it to death. I ate so much that she would make me my own bowl. When I was 14 I finally asked her for her recipe. She laughed at me, reached up into the cupboard and threw me a packet of Lipton's onion soup mix.

  8. What type of onions do you used? Yellow, sweet Vidailias or does it really matter. i.e. white, shallots, or even red? Ooo or can you do a mix of onions?
