  1. my quest continues for a "light and fluffy" pancake that truly lives up to the description. From whipped egg whites carefully folded in to cake flour and everything inbetween, every single US-style pancake has hit my stomach like a dehydrated sponge, completely stuffing me before I can get halfway through even a short stack.

    I'll probably just stick with waffles and flat/European-style pancakes (because it's not just crepes)

  4. now, reshoot this video with the same recipe but instead you fry each pancake in copious amounts of butter, creating the coveted "ring" of crust around each pancake; then you will have perfect. Also, Josh was just knocking on brown butter recipes the other day (and I wholeheartedly agree, it's annoyingly viral) and yet here's another one! lol

  6. why does he add wet to dry? shouldn’t he be adding dry to wet? i feel like whenever i add wet to dry it leaves behind so much.

    Now once that’s dissolved you’ll add 1 ½ cups of all purpose flour.

  8. Why did you not add vanilla to the regular pancakes or use some brown sugar? Those two changes can make it where you don’t need maple syrup! I didn’t say skip the syrup.

  9. In New Zealand we call those hotcakes. Our pancakes are like a crepe but thicker – big & flat. You can buy them in some cafes/bakerys rolled up with raspberry jam & whipped cream inside 🤤
