if you cant fit all the ribs you want to cook on your grill, then sure
otherwise its just another thing to clean at the end of cooking

The pro for the rack is, you can place more ribs on your grill.

I has same rack and think it’s grate! OK, great. Cleans up well in the DW and the ribs turn out very well.
gosubuilder
I use mine all the time. Nothing wrong with it.

I like to use a rack on my drum smoker because I feel like the smoke hits the meat side better than if they are bone side down. I could hang them also, but like to use a water bowl since I’m in a dry climate.
HerGentlemanCaller
Yeah, mine works well.

Those look like baby backs, pulling them out of the slots sometimes is difficult because they are wider than St. Louise, but they work great.
Schaden_Fraulein
It kind of looks like a magazine rack. Are you sure it’s for cooking?
Dicky-1
I use mine when I do ribs and it allows me to cook more vs laying flat. Depending on size of ribs they can slip around a bit if small or get sort of stuck when larger. Overall though, I find ut helpful!

If it works go with it

I use them when I need more surface area. They work just fine. Just make sure that all surface areas are exposed to the heat.

Do you have a roasting rack? They come with many roasting pans. If so, you can turn it upside down to achieve a similar thing. I’ve done it when I wanted to smoke 4 racks of ribs.
Own_Car4536
If you don’t need to use it then I’d say no

Mine is actually a upside down roasting pan rack, didn’t know and bought ine of these tracks. Some time later pulled out the roasting pan and now I’ve got 2 rib racks 🤪
apache_brew
I actually really like that rack. I’ll fit 4 whole slabs on there and place the entire assembly inside a full size aluminum pan (crinkle in the corners) and it fits inside my 22” Weber kettle. Acts a heat barrier from the direct coals and the meat and catches all the drippings.

I grill damned near everything but just can’t get into grilled ribs. I like smoked or fried better. Looks like a great way to put multiple racks on a grill though.
Weary_Necessary_2434
I have never used one of those before. Never felt the need. Is it more of a space saver?
Forgiven4108
No need except to take up less space.

Absolutely, you already know the answer

Thanks!

Which rack, lamb or stainless steel?
tbonemcqueen
If it works for you, then you should keep using it.
Or in other words, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
