That’s perfectly cooked put it reminds me of that lady who bites off pieces of vegetables and spits them out instead of using a knife

It’s fine. For those who felt it’s too red you just put in a hot pan with some aujus. To take off some of the red.

At a restaurant if your piece is too red just flip it over the warm plate will also reduce the redness and get it cooked a bit more.

Prime rib should 100% of the time be cooked to a thermometer temp in the center of the meat. Can be a probe or just the kind you poke in.

Otherwise you end up with too cooked or too uncooked.

You’d rather have too undercooked because you can heat it up some more. Overcooked you don’t have any options really. Hence the term you are cooked.

That’s med rare and how it’s supposed to look. As an apology you should take the person whose feeling you probably hurt by telling them it’s not cooked enough, out to a place that serves prime rib so you can see for yourself.

If I were cooking this in a restaurant (which I have) I would call this rare. It’s DEEP pink (red if we’re being honest) which to me is the tell tale difference between rare as opposed to med rare.

But for me, this is absolutely, spot on correct for prime rib! Like others have said, for anyone who wants it cooked more, you can absolutely put a slice or two in a pan with some jus and, SLOWLY, cook it for 1-2 min more to get rid of the pink/red.

I am doing a prime rib for new years. I am going to “over cook” it for some of my guests. Even then I might have to sear some for those who do not like good steak.

That is pure delicious. Any more cooked and it’s a ruint steak.

I prefer my beef rare and I would consider this a bit overcooked for my liking, it’s like the definition of med rare though.

Medium rare, more towards the rare side. Definitely not raw. Raw is cool and purple.

Weird, now no one agrees with you in two places. It’s cooked beautifully. Stick to chicken nuggets.

I’m more concerned with who cut it rather than who cooked it.

Prime rib is supposed to be that color, but not quite that butchered.

Perfect medium rare, no glassiness so not rare.

Bruh did you cut this with a spoon or just rip it apart with your hands??

That’s gross. So is the fiesta ware.

Med rare but why did I you cut it with a spoon??

  17. No one agreed with you because you’re wrong.

It’s pink, not red, in the middle and brown on the outside.

It’s the definition of medium rare.

Looks medium rare, it’s not red or dark pink
