My husband and I don’t exchange gifts so I decided to treat myself to a Josephinenhutte set over the holidays. Tonight I cracked into one of my special bottles to try them out. Forgive me, tasting notes are not my specialty but this wine was still very youthful at 15 years old. Black fruit, baking spices, with silky tannins that were nicely integrated. Maybe some cedar/cigar box on the finish. Very elegant wine. A wine to sip and savor.

One of the great wines of this century so far!

I just had this a few weeks ago. I usually like my Bordeaux much older, but this is already great (and will likely improve).
